  • Washington D.C. Hosted by President and First Lady Obama the dinner is in honor of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and First Lady Sophie Gregoire Trudeau of Canada

As America's first family prepare to depart the White House, it's claimed that the eldest daughter of Barack Obama will take up a February internship in the NY offices of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein before starting at Harvard University.

If Malia is indeed headed off to work for Harvey Weinstein (likely in marketing or development, according to The Hollywood Reporter) it should be noted that the Hollywood mogul was a major donor to Obama's two campaigns. She is reportedly set to intern for prolific film producer Harvey Weinstein beginning in February, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.

Before that she reportedly worked as a production assistant for Halle Berry's CBS show "Extant", which was executive produced by Steven Spielberg.

The younger daughter of Barack, Sasha Obama, is now in high school in Washington, D.C.

Representatives for the Weinstein Co. and for the Obama family are yet to formally comment on the exciting news. She is scheduled to enroll in fall classes at Harvard University.

Recently, the New York Times reported Malia's secret trip to Bolivia in November, where the teenager spent more than a month and a half trekking through Bolivia and living with a local family.

In 2015, Obama interned on the set of HBO's Girls.

"I'm going to be wearing dark glasses, sobbing", he told the talk show host earlier this year. "She's just a really smart, capable person and she's ready to make her own way".
