  • LG V30 flagship will run 6GB RAM Snapdragon 835 chipset By Rei Padla

"LG G6 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display (2,880 x 1,440) with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio that nearly entirely fills the front of the smartphone". There have already been a number of leaks and outright releases around its latest premium phone, including the development of a high-resolution screen with an 18:9 display, and a teaser video hyping up the potential features that may be in the phone. Video and gaming content tailored for 18:9 is growing sharply, says LG.

LG has been dropping hints along the way about what to expect from its an anticipated smartphone, the G6. This will allow you to have two apps running side-by-side without negatively affecting the way they are displayed.

Further, LG expects this new display to usher in a new trend of smartphones with this aspect ratio, especially since most films now use the same ratio.

HTC confirms mobile VR product coming before end of year
With a high-end VR headset already available, HTC seems primed to try to steal market share at the lower end of the market. HTC's best-known foray into VR is the Vive headset , but it has previously shown signs of interest in mobile VR as well.

It may seem that LG has run out of gimmicks to pull off for the LG G6, which is why it implemented a never before seen on a smartphone 18:9 screen aspect ratio.

LG stresses that the FullVision display in the G6 will offer "new viewing experience" to users. Display quality will be quad HD+ (2,880 x 1,440). For multitasking, users can load calendar on the left while working on documents on the right, LG said. To start with, the camera UX will enable users to take and review photos simultaneously. You may be wondering how the camera app could benefit from the taller screen when you'll be shooting in either 16:9 or 4:3 most of the time, but apparently, the real fun starts when you start shooting in 1:1 format. The smartphone will come with an ergonomic design to ensure comfort and compatibility with existing and upcoming digital content.

With Mobile World Congress just a few days away, LG is today shining a light on one of the most important features of its upcoming flagship device. A quick GIF creation tool will help you create GIFs by combining anywhere between 2 and 100 pictures.
