  • Pep praise for Gabriel Jesus and 'perfect' Aguero

Gabriel Jesus has gotten off to a near flawless start with Manchester City, as the 19-year old Brazilian striker played a pivotal role in City's win over Swansea on Sunday.

A Fernando Gabriel Jesus brace helped Manchester City overcome Swansea 2-1 at the Etihad stadium on Sunday.

"We are so delighted because most of the big important clubs in Europe want him and he chose to come here".

Manchester City's promising Brazilian talent Gabriel Jesus snatched a late 2-1 victor to save his team from an embarrassing home draw against Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium in week 24 of the English Premier League (EPL) football season. Sergio Aguero admitted he does not know if he has a future under Pep Guardiola after losing his starting place leading City's attack.

Guardiola said "he will be so, so important".

The Argentine, who is the third highest scorer in City's history with 154 goals, has only been a substitute for City's last two games.

"Now I have to watch what he Gabriel Jesus does, to learn a little".

But Zabaleta, who has been friends and team-mates with the frontman since representing their country at Under-20 level, recalled how Aguero had a similar challenge when he joined in 2011 and Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko were on City's books. He is a fighter and is only 19 and that's why we're delighted with what he's done so far.

Aguero was the go-to man when the club needed a goal, the epitome of the type of player any Premier League side would want leading the line.

"But he's 19 years old, Brazilian guys are physically strong and he only needed a few training sessions to be ready". I have to help the team as much as I can in these three months. As I say the club will decide if I have a place here or not. If he continues to score at this rate, he may be City's best signing of the last couple seasons.

Jesus, preferred again to top scorer Sergio Aguero, poked home to break Swansea hearts in the dying seconds in what was another eye-catching performance from the supremely-talented Brazilian. I want to stay, of course.

The result leaves Guardiola's side on 49 points after 24 games played, two ahead of Gunners and three ahead of Liverpool who drop out of the Champions League spots.

"I think he is hungry and has desire and shows so many good things".
