Nintendo Switch Has Six Month Old Bugs, Device Vulnerable To Hackers

18 March, 2017, 01:18 | Author: Jan Cross

In total, Nintendo is apparently aiming to have produced 16 million Switch consoles by the end of March 2018. But Nintendo seems to suddenly be very confident about its prospects, and according to The Wall Street Journal has doubled the number of consoles it plans to manufacture over the next 12 months.

When Nintendo set out with a target of selling 2 million consoles for the month of March, some thought the company was being over ambitious.

According to NintendoLife and one of its readers, JunkRabbit, switching off the Wi-Fi on the Nintendo Switch caused the frame rate problems to vanish immediately. The company reportedly sold 1.5 million units on its first week, buoyed by the strong sales of its flagship game The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild.

A new teardown of Nintendo Switch carried out from the website Tech Insights confirms the presence of a chipset of NVIDIA Tegra T210 as the beating heart of the new console of the home of Kyoto. After all, the Wii U sold around 3 million units in its first 6 weeks, but went on to sell just 13.5 million units total. It's been a while since the game was released on Wii Virtual Console in 2009, so this could be a good time to revisit this classic if you are a fan of the genre. It seems as though many fans purchased a Nintendo Switch exclusively for Zelda, as the game has a almost 1:1 sales ratio with the console.

Nintendo Switch was also reported to have joycon connectivity issues. While there have been reports of rural stores having a few remnant Switches for sale, until Nintendo manages to bring more Switches to market, you'll likely still be waiting for a while. Do you want to purchase a Switch now or are you planning to wait for later in the year?

According to Express.co.Uk, they have contacted a number of Toys R Us stores across the United Kingdom and they have asked about the Nintendo Switch stocks.
