Pacers bring back Lance Stephenson

It was also reported later in the day that the team is reportedly to bringing back Lance Stephenson to in on a three-year contract.

Free agent swingman Lance Stephenson has reached an agreement with the team on a three-year, $12 million deal, league sources informed ESPN.

Adam Zagoria of FanRag Sports confirmed the move. According to the same report, the third and final year of the deal is a "team option", which means the Pacers can release him early.

At his peak, Stephenson averaged 14 points, five assists and seven rebounds for the Pacers during the 2013-14 season.

Stephenson lost much of the mojo that garnered him national attention when he left IN for Charlotte. Stuckey's contract is now completely off the Pacers salary cap for next season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were the latest team to give Lance Stephenson an audition, but after offering him two 10-day contracts, the Wolves chose to let Stephenson go. He was the second round pick by the Pacers, or the 40th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

Bellagio 'shooting': Tourists flee famous casino after reports of 'active shooter'
They added: 'The preliminary investigation suggests that at least three suspects entered a retail store to commit the burglary. The iconic Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas is on lockdown after reports of an active shooter.

Bird and the Pacers already know what Stephenson can do.

Stephenson plays hard and with emotion and that may be one of his bigger contributions to an IN team that often lacks intensity.

Reaction to Stephenson's return has been mixed by fans.

Stephenson is most known for bringing energy and antics to the court. He recently signed a 10-day contract with the Timberwolves but his stint was also short-lived in Minnesota.

A 10-year National Basketball Association veteran, Stuckey resurrected his career after joining the Pacers in 2014 on a veteran minimum deal. He lasted one year with Charlotte.

The Indiana Pacers aren't going to sit around and wait for their roster to get healthy as they make a push for the playoffs.
