  • Bernie Sanders: 'Democrats should take credit for killing' AHCA

Since last November's election, Democrats have been relegated to playing defense while Republicans, who control the House, Senate and White House, have been working to enact a conservative agenda.

Sanders appeared on CNN's "Face The Nation" Sunday to discuss what comes next for health care reform.

Less than 24 hours after President Donald Trump and the GO_-controlled House of Representatives failed to unite behind a plan to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, Sanders told a group of his constituents in a Vermont town hall meeting that he'll introduce legislation that expands Medicare to all Americans, reported Vermont Public Radio. Let's talk about lowering the age of Medicare eligibility from 65 to 55. Bernie Sanders wants to work with President Trump on a crafting a bi-partisan real meaningful healthcare bill.

NY [U.S.A.], March 25 (ANI): In his first statement after pulling the health care bill, United States President Donald Trump leaned hard on the Democrats and said that Obamacare was going to "explode". Yes, it's good the bill didn't pass and if Democrats have any sense they will absolutely let Trump give them the credit for it.

"It's really about the basic, mutual respect that we have to have in a democratic society to work together to solve problems that affect us all", Welch said. John Kasich was talking about chatting with the president about the high cost of prescription drugs. "Let's deal with the greed of the pharmaceutical industry", he said on CNN. "And that's why I'm going to introduce a Medicare-for-All, single-payer program".

"President Trump, come on board".

"Obamacare has serious problems".

Still, Trump said Democrats should be blamed for whatever happens next on health care.

Republican moderates wavered amid nearly universal opposition from groups representing parts of the healthcare industry, while far-right House Freedom Caucus members felt the American Health Care Act was too generous and didn't go far enough in killing Obamacare regulations.

Dean got into nasty confrontations with single payer activists who confronted him during the Obamacare debates with questions about his corporatist connections and his support of the public option over single payer. The "Medicare for all" proposal was one of his key campaign offerings to the Americans back when he was a Democrat candidate.

"We now must take on a horrific Republican budget and efforts at "tax reform" which means huge tax breaks to billionaires and corporations", said the 75-year old Senator from Vermont.
