British Columbia ruling Liberals set to win election - polling group

"To those voters not yet decided, join with us, come together and let's create a better B.C.", he said Monday at a campaign stop in Surrey.

The other leaders stuck to familiar scripts on the campaign trail, with Liberal Leader Christy Clark telling voters they have a clear choice between more jobs and financial stability offered by her party or larger debt that she argues will be the result if the other parties control the purse strings.

It made history last election as the closest three-way race in the province in modern times.

The NDP sent the most negative news releases - in which the focus was the other party's shortcomings - on May 5, attacking Clark for being too close to deep-pocketed corporate donors, while ordinary British Columbians struggle to afford the cost of living.

The B.C. Greens are up three percent from the last Global News Ipsos poll, whereas the B.C. Liberals are down four percent and the B.C. NDP is off by a single percentage point.

Weaver is the only leader with a positive momentum score of +13 (28% say their opinion of the BC Green leader improved since the start of the campaign, while 15% say it has worsened).

Clark received an angry reception from some people as she toured the streets of Sidney.

He drove diagonally from the right of the nail to the left block, taking his two steps before he rose for a layup. Does Toronto have a chance to bounce back and cause an upset? "We have to find ways to eliminate the spurts".

"I definitely wanted to make the point that this isn't going to be an easy photo op", says protester Dock Currie who plans to vote NDP.

Aaron Mueller, a teacher-librarian at Parkland Secondary School in North Saanich, accused Clark of refusing to engage with anyone but party supporters and donors.

The second poll conducted by Mainstreet/ Postmedia suggests that, despite the major parties being locked in a dead heat, the B.C. Liberals look most likely to secure the most seats on May 9th.

"I can't recall an election where the elites have mattered less than this election campaign", Horgan said.

The Liberals say they're hopeful crisscrossing the province will pay.

And while that's true - and will haunt Horgan if the party loses seats in those traditional NDP strongholds - the Liberals could also regret the fact they spent much less time in seats they won narrowly four years ago.
