On Tuesday night, Kimmel said Cassidy "lied right to my face". Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and Lindsey Graham of SC - one of U.S. Sen.

"It repeals as much of the Affordable Care Act as it can under the reconciliation rules in Washington, and then it permits the states to make decisions beyond that", the governor said. But Paul calls Graham-Cassidy "Obamacare Lite" and says he will be voting no.

It remains unclear whether Republicans have enough support to pass the bill, which also would replace Obamacare with a system giving states block grants to fund their own healthcare programs.

Moving forward, the President through a subsequent tweet, hoped and urged the Republican Senators to support the new Obamacare repeal bill propagated by Sens.

The Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson (GCHJ) legislation was released one week ago by four Republican senators - Lindsey Graham, Bill Cassidy, Dean Heller, and Ron Johnson - and is likely the party's last-ditch repeal effort for now.

"We take all of that expansion money plus all of the other money that flows through the Affordable Care Act for that expansion population", he said. The window to pass it with a simple majority under Senate rules expires on September 30; Republicans have 52 members in the chamber.

Kimmel also argued the bill would leave more without health care coverage and raise premiums.

"What is being circulated is by those who wish to preserve Obamacare, and they're doing everything they can to discredit the alternative", Cassidy said.

But the Graham-Cassidy bill does not contain those guarantees.

"This new bill actually does pass the Jimmy Kimmel test, but a different Jimmy Kimmel test", Kimmel said on Tuesday's show.

Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and John McCain of Arizona, the three Republicans whose "no" votes killed previous iterations of the Senate healthcare bill.

A bipartisan group of 10 governors, including the leader of the National Governors Association, is calling on Senate leaders to reject the bill.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, the host blasted Republicans for attempting to "sneak this scam of a bill" into law. "So, this is not a repeal bill, this is sort of, 'Hey, we'll take Obamacare, replace it with Obamacare, but we're going to let the states have a little more power in how we spend it'".
