  • Ivana Trump says she's the 'first lady.' Melania Trump's office responds

President Trump's first ex-wife Ivana Trump drew a curt response from the White House and from Mr. Trump's current wife, First Lady Melania Trump, after she said she was the first lady in an interview with ABC News.

Ivana wrote that she had no desire to become the wife of the President of the US, like Melania Trump has become.

First Lady Melania Trump is blasting her husband's first wife as "attention-seeking and self-serving" over a harmless joke. "She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books", the statement said. Christopher Ruddy, CEO of the Newsmax website and one of the president's longtime friends, said he thinks the American people respect the fact that the first lady put her son's needs first.

During the interview, Ivana also bragged that she has a "direct number to the White House", though she claims not to call often because of Melania Trump.

In one of the stranger sideshows to his presidency, President Donald Trump's first and third wives, Ivana and Melania, respectively, on Monday had a very public war of words - and his second wife, Marla Maples, is getting some shade out of the spat, to boot.

Yesterday, Ivana made headlines by both bashing Trump's other ex-wife Marla Maples and taking credit for the president's political success. Donald even paid for the meals and arranged for Ivana to be transported back to her hotel the first time they met.

The Spaniard told MUTV: " It is a little bit more than what happened last season with Zlatan scoring most of the goals we try to put some goals in the list this season ".

When asked if she blames Donald now for their marriage ending, Trump replied: 'I'm not sure, because Donald would get 1,000 business cards in the pocket every night.

Ivana is a trusted adviser to President Trump, and encourages him to continue blasting the fake-news media on Twitter. Absolutely", she said. "Can I give the speech for 45 minutes without [a] teleprompter? "She's a showgirl. Never achieve anything in her life". "It's better her than me". The woman added that she and the president are now on warmer terms, speaking about once a week. "I like my freedom", Ivana Trump said, in what could also be perceived as a dig against Melania Trump.

She declined to talk about the 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape, saying, "I don't want to go into it".

"I'm a big believer in healthy eating because it reflects on your mind and your body", she said before telling the group to "come with me and have some fun".

But she turned it down because she already has the "perfect life", which includes jaunts to Saint-Tropez, and winters in Miami.
