NY police said Thursday they have reopened a investigation into allegations of a 2004 sexual assault by disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

'Everything I do in my life I do for this girl (and her brother),' the mother-of-two wrote.

In a statement Thursday, guild President Beau Willimon and Executive Director Lowell Peterson condemned Harvey Weinstein's "deplorable" behavior and said that "sexual harassment and assault have always been hallmarks of the entertainment industry".

"With all these big sexual harassment cases going public", Bee says, "men are getting concerned about how they can avoid being accused".

The organisation have "informed" the disgraced producer - who was sacked from his own Weinstein Company earlier this week in the wake of a New York Times expose, which claimed he had sexually harassed a number of women over a 30-year period and paid off at least eight to keep their allegations quiet - of their decision and admitted they felt his alleged actions were "completely unacceptable and incompatible" with their own values.

The New Yorker magazine reported Tuesday that Evans said Weinstein had forced her to perform oral sex on him.

"Since then I felt very bad that I did the movie". Beckinsale ended her post by saying Weinstein is "an emblem of a system that is sick and that we have work to do".

Members of the Weinstein Company board have insisted they were unaware of payments he had made to women who complained, calling the allegations "an utter surprise".

She claimed Weinstein made advances towards her in a hotel room after asking her to kiss another woman.

Weinstein's lawyer Lisa Bloom announces her resignation, saying she understand that "Mr Weinstein and his board are moving toward an agreement".

"Then, the women contend, he variously tried to initiate massages, touched them inappropriately, took off his clothes or offered them explicit work-for-sex deals", according to the New York Times.

Beckinsale calls for a new paradigm in the industry and says "let's stop allowing our young women to be sexual cannon fodder".

"Guys, I'm not doing OK, but I'm trying", he said outside of his daughter's Los Angeles home in a video licensed by NBC News.

Prime Minister Theresa May also spoke out about the scandal on Wednesday. Pierre Lescure, president of the Cannes Film Festival, said in a statement: "These actions point to a pattern of behavior that merits only the clearest and most unequivocal condemnation".

She explained that the producer, with whom she has worked on several movies, has never harmed her.

Another damaging report in The New Yorker this week included audio of Weinstein appearing to confess to sexual assault of Filipina-Italian model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez in 2015. "Our thoughts go out the victims, to those who have had the courage to testify and to all the others".
