Bahrain's foreign minister alleged on Sunday that Lebanon under the "total control" of Hizballah, in a speech at an Arab League meeting called by Saudi Arabia.
While not mentioning Iran by name, he said Lebanon condemned all attacks against Arab nations, but blamed exploitable inter-Arab divisions that allowed global and regional powers to promote their interests.
With the absolutist kingdom, Israel is now working on common concerns over Iran, the cabinet minister said.
The IDF chief added that he was hopeful regarding Trump's declarations about the need to stop Iran's missile program and the entrenchment of its troops and militias in Syria and Iraq.
But he said Israeli officials have tended to exaggerate such interactions in a bid to "drive down the price they may have to pay, especially on Palestinian issues, to expand strategic relations and ties with Arab countries".
Tensions have mounted between Saudi Arabia and Iran since November 4, when Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, a long-time Saudi ally, announced a surprise resignation, accusing Tehran and its allied Lebanese Hezbollah movement of destabilizing his and other Arab countries.
The ministers, according to the final statement, said they supported any action to be taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its national security, within the boundaries of global legitimacy.

The House of Saud has been losing ground in the multi-religious Mediterranean state, and the Bahraini foreign minister at the Arab League summit called Lebanon's Hezbollah militia "Iran's longest arm in the region".
He added that Hezbollah "does not just carry out operations inside the borders of (Lebanon), it also crosses its borders to all of our nations", making it "a threat to Arab national security".
In addition to the attempted missile strike, which was repelled by Riyadh's anti-missile defense system, the draft resolution notes the bombing of an oil pipeline in Bahrain as another example of Iranian efforts to undermine regional security.
Also in September, Israel Radio reported that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had secretly met officials in Israel that month, drawing an official denial from Riyadh. "Worldwide law should be respected", he said.
