GAL GADOT Quitting WONDER WOMAN Sequel Unless RATNER Removed

  • Warner Bros. denies Gal Gadot won’t do ‘Wonder Woman’ sequel if Brett Ratner is involved

Ratner has denied the accusations through his attorney, and also announced that he was stepping away from Warner Bros., for the good of the company.

Why not? Because she didn't have to.

The deal, struck in 2013, was for 75 movies over "three or four years", according to Business Insider.

Warner Bros. has moved the film up to November 1, 2019 from its previous date of December 13, 2019.

Filmmaker Brett Ratner has been accused of sexual harassment and misconduct over the past week by multiple women, including Olivia Munn and Ellen Page.

A spokesperson claimed the issue came down to a scheduling conflict as Gadot has been on a worldwide publicity tour with her "Justice Leage" cast, however it seems more and more likely it may also be due to allegations surrounding the director, producer and founder of RatPac-Dune Entertainment.

Gadot did not link her cancellation at the awards dinner to the allegations against Ratner, instead saying she had a scheduling conflict.

Warner Bros already have a second solo outing set for Gadot in 2019, but now it looks like the star will leave the role if producer Ratner isn't dropped following recent sexual harassment allegations.

Gadot, who's brought critical acclaim and a fresh perspective to the iconic character in DC's Wonder Woman movie, is set to appear in a heavily anticipated follow-up. The movie has grossed more than $400 million internationally, and Ratner's company will take a healthy share of the profits.

If a new report is to be believed, Gal Gadot is putting her money where her mouth is. "They can't have a movie rooted in women's empowerment being part-financed by a man accused of sexual misconduct against women", the source added. "I stand by all the courageous women confronting their fears and speaking out".
