  • Abdullahi Patricia Etteh Keyamo Oni Alaibe — meet Buhari’s latest appointees

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday appointed 209 board chairmen and 1,258 members of government owned agencies and parastatals, redeeming a part of the pledge he made on October 31, at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of his All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fani-Kayode on his Twitter handle said that 'anybody that more comfortable working with the dead than he is with the living is a practicing necromancer'.

"Furthermore, the mix up in the list also exposes the corruption in the APC government", he said.

Buhari appointed him chairman of the board of the Nigerian Press Council.

Mr Utov was appointed member of the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research and he died in March, 2017.

He was appointed as a board member of the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta.

Okpozo died on December 26, 2016, with Buhari issuing a statement of commiseration on December 27, 2017.

Britton, who was an All-Star in 2015 and 2016, led the league two seasons ago with 47 saves and had an 0.54 ERA and 0.836 WHIP. It happened Tuesday while the 29-year-old was working out in California, and he's expected to be out at least six months.

However, during an appearance on Channels Television's special End of the year Programme on Sunday, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, revealed that the President will reveal the fate of those behind the fuel crisis during his address.

According to Boss Mustapha, all the appointments take immediate effect.

He said this in reaction to the outcry over the inclusion of at least four dead persons in the list of appointees.

The presidency on Saturday tried to explain the inclusion of the dead persons, saying the list was compiled in 2015.

When asked why the list was not vetted before release, Shehu countered that it actually took more than 2 years to collate the list and resolve disputes arising over the selection of persons nominated by certain governors and other stakeholders.

The Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has urged Nigerians to keep alive their hope in the ability of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration to restore the economy and bring it to a remarkable height.

Shehu further explained that the president only chose to revisit the matter recently and therefore directed the new SGF to release the list.
