  • Jose Mourinho says he has warned Marouane Fellaini to hurry up and sign a new deal at Manchester United

Jose Mourinho recalled Sir Alex Ferguson's response when Chelsea won their second Premier League title in 2005-06.

In a statement, the Manchester United Supporters' Trust said:"We note our manager's further comments regarding the poor atmosphere within Old Trafford following the Huddersfield home game".

"I have heard the rumours but I haven't spoken to Mourinho".

But, you know as well as I do, that's not going to happen.

"If I am honest, yes, I think [Mourinho] will stay at United for at least another three years", he told RT Sport.

Pogba, who re-signed for United from Juventus in 2016 for a world-record £89m, has struggled for form recently.

Mourinho has seemingly ruled out a move for Kluivert too, throwing the potential move into doubt.

Speaking on Saturday, Mourinho was asked about new signing Alexis Sanchez before branching off to discuss the crowd.

United have returned to Champions League competition this season, but their manager will need to produce something special if he is to repeat his past successes at Porto and Inter.

'Exactly, that is the point, that is the objective, ' said Mourinho.

With everybody having played 26 games and only 12 left, we are inside the final third of the season. You like to have things to write and things to speculate, especially in the summer. I think he had the armband against Scotland and scored the crucial equaliser so it doesn't affect how he plays. I don't want [any more] attacking players. In the absence of any imminent changes in the former, we therefore concentrate on other areas where we can have an impact in the short to medium term. Attacking players, I am really happy with. "I can not say we, Tottenham or Chelsea [THIRD] is doing bad because the points we have is very reasonable".

Kluivert made 20 appearances for Ajax last season, scoring two goals.

United are believed to be in "advanced talks" with the player, and are ready to strike a deal worth £10 million (R170 million), plus various add-ons, at the end of the season.
