  • Federal Bureau of Investigation texts: Obama 'wants to know everything' in Clinton email case

"It raises questions as to why these text messages disappeared for so long".

Hillary Clinton's longtime friend Lanny Davis is releasing a book about how former FBI Director James Comey "cost" her the White House, The Hill reports.

Almost two months before former FBI Director James Comey announced the bureau was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email use as secretary of state, two FBI officials discussed drafting talking points for President Barack Obama because he "wants to know everything we're doing".

Obama sometimes used a pseudonym while communicating with Clinton via her private email server and address, according to Federal Bureau of Investigation records revealed in September 2016.

Johnson's report alleges that the text "raises additional questions about the type and extent of President Obama's personal involvement in the Clinton email scandal and the FBI investigation of it".

Page's meaning here is unclear, but Senate investigators say, coupled with Strzok's August 15 text about an "insurance policy", further investigation is warranted to find out what actions the two may have taken.

Was that because Strzok wanted to know more about investigating scandals or because he wanted the "insurance policy" of how to remove a sitting president of the United States? "Presumably, because this message was not redacted, the Department believes it may relate to the FBI's investigation of classified information on Secretary Clinton's private server", the report says.

But the conversation quickly took a more serious turn as DeGeneres shared her fears over the current state of USA affairs. We can't lose sight of that. " Sasha actually killed in this house". "I personally feel frightened".

The relevant text, from Page to Strzok, revealed that "potus wants to know everything we're doing".

Other texts showed Page telling Strzok on Election Day, "OMG THIS IS F***ING TERRIFYING", to which Strzok replied, "Omg, I am so depressed". On Nov. 13, 2016, Page wrote, "I bought all the president's men. Figure I need to brush up on watergate".

In previously released text messages, Strzok and Page referred to Trump as an "idiot" and a "loathsome human".

"Of course I'll try and approach it that way".

"I don't know if I can eat".

Peter Strzok played leading roles in the FBI investigations into Clinton's emails and into Russia's meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump tweeted late Wednesday morning - around the time the president was scheduled to receive his daily intelligence briefing.
